Package 1: short negotiation
Your settlement agreement could be better, and you want me to discuss it with your employer. I conduct a short negotiation for a better deal.
What I do
- Everything in the settlement check.
- I also look at your employer's reasoning, such as a reorganisation or underperformance.
- I conduct the negotiation with your employer on your behalf.
Which documents do I need?
The same documents as for the settlement check. If your employer gives a reason for the dismissal, I also look at the documents on that:
- with a reorganisation: the social plan, the works council's advice and any other documents that have been shared;
- with underperformance: the improvement plan (PIP) you followed, or that you have been offered.
How long does it take?
Usually 1 to 4 weeks.
Contact with your employer
With this package, I handle the communication with your employer. You do not have to sit at the table yourself.
Turns out more is possible?
If during the negotiation it turns out there is more room, or more time is needed, you move on to Package 2: strong negotiation. What you have already paid is deducted. You never pay twice.
Who pays?
If a deal is reached, I always try to agree that your employer reimburses your legal costs. If your employer offers more than the package price, I charge that amount to your employer. You never pay more than the agreed price.
